OGameX Universe Scan and Main Fleet

Universe Scan and Main Fleet are shared foundations for target-aware and fleet-aware modules. Universe Scan records player, alliance, planet, and status information across the universe. Main Fleet identifies a central planet or moon used by several resource and fleet workflows.

Overview

The first complete universe scan is mandatory when no saved universe data exists. Until it finishes, inactive farming cannot build a reliable target list and Auction cannot reliably resolve protected players or your alliance membership.

Main Fleet is separate from the scan. Its choices come from celestials discovered on your account. It is used by Bank, inactive farming, and Pause Fleet Save. Choose it deliberately and review it after a deploy-style fleetsave because a successful deploy can update the shared location.

Universe Scan Progress

The Universe Scan card appears in Settings and shows:

  • Status: ready, scanning, retry scheduled, or complete.
  • Progress: completed systems and current galaxy and system.
  • Last complete scan: when the most recent full snapshot finished.
  • Next scan: when the configured refresh becomes due.

A partial scan should not be treated as complete account intelligence. Wait for the complete status before selecting Auction protected players or evaluating the full inactive population. If a refresh is running after an earlier completed scan, the previous complete snapshot remains the safer reference until the new cycle finishes.

The update frequency can be set from one to five days. A shorter period refreshes changing player statuses and alliance membership more often. A longer period reduces how frequently the scan runs but may leave target-aware features using older information. Choose a frequency that fits the pace of your universe and review the completion date regularly.

Features That Depend on Scan Data

Auction protected bidders searches the most recent completed scan by player name or alliance. Protect-my-alliance also uses the alliance membership found there. If a player changes name, protection follows after a later completed scan can match the player again. See Auction Protected Bidders.

Inactive farming considers players marked inactive or long inactive while excluding vacation, banned, protected, stronger, or new-player statuses. It uses universe coordinates to create eligible planet targets. A player whose status changes can become ineligible after a refresh. See Inactive Farming.

Scan data is a discovery source, not a replacement for current espionage reports. Inactive farming still spies eligible planets and evaluates known resources, fleet, defense, and storage information before deciding whether a target is ready.

Selecting Main Fleet

Open Settings and choose Main Fleet from the detected planets and moons. The list shows the celestial type, name, and coordinates. Pick a location with the ships, fuel, and position needed by the workflows you intend to use.

Main Fleet can be selected as the farm origin. Pause Fleet Save can consolidate resources from moons toward it. Bank-related movement can use the shared fleet choice alongside the Bank celestial configured in the Bank feature.

Do not choose a celestial only because it is the homeworld. Consider where your cargo ships are kept, how much deuterium is available, which routes are practical, and whether a pause plan will move that fleet elsewhere.

If the list is empty, start the bot on the correct universe and let a feature such as expeditions or Auto Build discover the account’s planets and moons. Return to Settings after discovery completes.

Keeping Shared State Consistent

After adding or removing colonies, moons, or fleet locations, revisit Main Fleet and every feature that uses it. A previously selected location can become unavailable or inappropriate.

After importing a configuration, confirm that the selected celestial exists on the current account. Configuration files can restore preferences, but they cannot make a missing planet or moon valid.

After a deploy mission, check whether Main Fleet has changed. Then review Bank, inactive farming, and Pause Fleet Save before restarting normal automation.

  1. Start the bot with target-aware feature toggles off.
  2. Allow the first universe scan to reach complete status.
  3. Review the completion time and choose a one-to-five-day refresh interval.
  4. Let the extension discover your account’s planets and moons.
  5. Select Main Fleet by name and coordinates.
  6. Configure Auction protection from the completed snapshot.
  7. Configure inactive farming with conservative filters.
  8. Recheck Main Fleet after any deploy-style fleet movement or account change.

Troubleshooting

  • The scan is stuck on retry scheduled: keep the bot running on a supported universe page and allow the next attempt to proceed.
  • Protected-player search returns nothing: wait for a completed scan and check the player’s current name.
  • Alliance protection is unavailable: confirm the completed scan identifies your player and alliance.
  • Main Fleet has no options: allow celestial discovery to run on the current account.
  • A saved Main Fleet is missing: select an available replacement and review every dependent feature.
  • Inactive targets look outdated: check the last completed scan and shorten the refresh interval if appropriate.

FAQ

Does inactive farming work before the first full scan?

No. It needs a complete universe snapshot to discover and filter inactive-only players and their planets.

What happens while a refresh scan is running?

The previous complete snapshot remains the stable reference until the new scan finishes successfully.

How often can the scan refresh?

The visible setting supports intervals from one to five days.

Can Main Fleet be a moon?

Yes. Select any detected available planet or moon that fits the fleet and resource workflows you plan to use.

Why did Main Fleet change after a pause?

A successful deploy-style Pause Fleet Save can update the shared Main Fleet location. Review dependent modules afterward.
