OGameX Bot Settings and Timing

The Settings subtab contains account-wide choices used by several OGameX Helper Bot modules. Review it before enabling feature tabs because timing, Main Fleet, universe data, and smaller utilities affect how other routines behave.

Overview

Settings are stored separately for each connected OGameX account. Changing a value on one account should not be treated as changing every universe. When you switch accounts, check the Settings subtab again before starting the bot.

The page combines five areas: maximum random delay, online bonus collection, server promotion, Import/Export item purchase, Main Fleet selection, configuration tools, and universe scan status. Several are covered in their own guides because they serve different purposes.

Maximum Random Delay

Maximum random delay adds a variable delay from zero up to the selected number of seconds after bot tasks. A value of zero removes this extra variation, while a larger value creates a wider range between transitions.

Use a modest value that does not interfere with time-sensitive routines. A very large maximum can delay follow-up work, cause actions to approach a pause window, or make results feel unresponsive. Timing variation is not a safety guarantee; it is only one part of a setup that also needs real downtime.

After changing this value, observe several ordinary cycles. Confirm that building, research, and fleet tasks still complete within the expected window. If a time-sensitive feature behaves too slowly, reduce the maximum rather than disabling pauses.

Shared Utility Controls

Settings contains independent checkboxes for online bonus, server promotion, and the Import/Export trader. These are not controlled by a sidebar feature toggle. Enable only the routines you want.

  • Automatically collect online bonus checks whether an online reward is available and collects it when possible.
  • Automatically promote server uses the available promotion providers and displays the next scheduled attempt.
  • Automatically buy Import/Export item buys the current item with the selected payment resource from a planet that can afford it.

The Check now action clears the displayed wait for promotion or Import/Export so the bot can reconsider the routine. It does not promise that an action will succeed; availability, affordability, and current cooldowns still matter. See Daily Utilities for a full walkthrough.

Main Fleet Selection

Main Fleet is a shared origin or destination used by multiple features. Select the planet or moon that should act as the account’s central fleet location. A successful deploy-style Pause Fleet Save can update this selection, so verify it after changing your fleetsave plan.

Bank uses its configured Bank celestial and can also reference the shared fleet choice. Inactive farming requires an origin, and its Main Fleet option uses this setting. Pause Fleet Save can transfer moon resources toward Main Fleet before a longer trip.

If no celestials are listed, start the bot once on the correct universe and let a fleet-aware feature discover them. Then return to Settings and select Main Fleet. The universe scan and Main Fleet guide explains the relationship in more detail.

Universe Scan Status

The Universe Scan card shows whether discovery is ready, scanning, complete, or scheduled to retry. It also shows galaxy and system progress, the most recent completion, and the next planned refresh.

The first complete scan is mandatory when no universe data exists. Auction protected-player selection and inactive farming depend on a completed snapshot. Do not assume a partly completed scan contains a reliable picture of every player. The previous completed snapshot remains useful while a refresh is progressing.

Choose an update interval between one and five days based on how quickly player status and alliance membership change in your universe. Shorter intervals keep target-aware features fresher but require more scanning work.

Configuration Tools

The configuration area can export current reusable settings, import a saved configuration, export logs, or reset bot settings. Licence and short-lived run state are excluded from normal configuration files. Export a backup after completing a stable setup and before making large changes.

Import only a configuration you recognize. Review origins, destinations, targets, and enabled features after the page reloads because a file created for another account may contain choices that do not fit the current universe. See Configuration Tools.

  1. Keep all main feature toggles off.
  2. Choose a modest maximum random delay.
  3. Disable any daily utility you do not want.
  4. Complete universe discovery.
  5. Select Main Fleet and verify its coordinates.
  6. Configure the pause scheduler.
  7. Enable one module and watch its first complete cycle.
  8. Export a configuration backup.

Keep automated activity below 14 hours per day. Scheduled and dynamic pauses create necessary downtime, but neither random timing nor pauses can guarantee account safety.

Troubleshooting

  • Settings seem different on another account: settings are account-specific; configure and verify that account separately.
  • Main Fleet is empty: allow celestial discovery to run before choosing the shared location.
  • Protected players cannot be selected: complete the universe scan first.
  • Check now does nothing visible: the utility may still be unavailable, unaffordable, or waiting for current game conditions.
  • An imported setup behaves unexpectedly: stop the bot, review every enabled module, and restore a known backup if needed.

FAQ

Does random delay replace scheduled pauses?

No. Random delay changes timing between tasks. Pauses create actual periods when automation is stopped; both serve different purposes.

Which features use Main Fleet?

Main Fleet is shared by fleet-save choices, Bank-related movement, and inactive farming origin selection.

How often can universe data refresh?

The visible update interval accepts one to five days. Choose it based on how current player and alliance data needs to be.

Are daily utilities enabled by the main sidebar toggles?

No. Online bonus, server promotion, and Import/Export purchase have their own controls inside Settings.

Can timing settings prevent a ban?

No. They can add variation and downtime, but they do not remove the risk of detection or guarantee account safety.
