OGameX Auction Automation
Auction watches Bronze, Silver, and Gold containers and bids only when the current item, approximate timing, protected-player rules, available resources, and configured tier limit permit it. Use low maximums while learning how the current-state panel changes during a complete auction.
Overview
Auction timing is approximate. The feature uses live auction updates to estimate the end and performs a final current-state check before bidding, but browser or connection delays can still affect the result. Never configure a maximum you are not willing to spend.
The main settings cover source selection, payment resource, approximate minutes remaining, protected bidders, alliance protection, and maximum cumulative bids. The Current Auction card shows the detected item, tier, bid values, leading player, estimate, selected source, and last update.
Source Celestial
Auto (richest planet) lets the feature choose a planet with suitable resources. You can instead select Main Fleet or a specific detected source celestial.
Review the selected source in the Current Auction card before trusting the first bid. A previously saved planet may be unavailable after account changes. Main Fleet also can change after a deploy-style Pause Fleet Save, so verify it before Auction runs again.
If a fixed source cannot afford the bid, Auction waits rather than drawing from an unrelated location. Auto source can choose another suitable planet based on the current account state.
Payment Resource
Choose metal, crystal, or deuterium as the bid resource. Consider how that choice affects Auto Build, Auto Research, Bank reserves, fleet fuel, and Import/Export purchases.
Do not use deuterium aggressively if fleet protection depends on it. Do not set a large metal or crystal limit immediately before expensive development targets. Auction limits should fit the broader resource plan, not operate in isolation.

Approximate Bid Window
Bid when approximately this many minutes remain controls how close to the estimated auction end bidding becomes eligible. The estimate is anchored from a live update near the end and can still be early or late.
The Current Auction card displays approximate time remaining, estimated end, and the latest completion error when known. Use these values to review accuracy across several auctions. A shorter window is not guaranteed to win and leaves less room for ordinary browser or connection delay.
Maximum Cumulative Bids
Set separate maximums for Bronze, Silver, and Gold containers. The value is the maximum cumulative amount you are willing to commit to that tier, not a recommended spending target.
A limit of zero disables automated bidding for that tier. This is useful when you want to observe state without spending on a particular class.
Begin with small limits on one tier. Confirm the detected tier, current bid, your existing bid, and required next amount. Increase a limit only after the entire auction behavior is understood.
Rebid Behavior
When another player outbids you, Auction can group updates briefly instead of spending on every price change. The card may show a resource-saving rebid countdown or a final rebid countdown.
If a bid result is uncertain, the feature displays a reconciliation period. Do not force repeated checks during that period. Wait for the current state to confirm whether the bid was accepted before taking another action.
The feature does not bid against itself when you are already leading. It also stops when the relevant tier cap is reached, resources are insufficient, the auction is unavailable, or a protected bidder is leading.
Current Auction Status
Review item, tier, minimum bid, current bid, your current contribution, highest bidder, bid count, approximate time, estimated end, state source, last payment planet, update time, and finished status.
Common results include watching, waiting for the bid window, waiting for grouped rebid, leading, protected bidder leading, cap reached, insufficient resources, bid submitted, completed, unavailable, and failed or retrying.
Use Auction Protected Bidders to configure player and alliance exclusions from a completed universe scan.
Recommended Setup
- Complete the universe scan.
- Choose auto source or verify one fixed source.
- Select the payment resource least disruptive to current plans.
- Set Bronze to a small test limit and set other tiers to zero.
- Add protected players and alliance rules.
- Keep the default-style approximate window for the first observation.
- Watch one complete auction and review the estimate error.
- Increase limits only when the detected state is consistently understood.
Troubleshooting
- Auction does not bid: check tier limit, bid window, resources, source, protected bidder status, and whether you are already leading.
- The source is unexpected: select a fixed celestial or review which planet auto source considers richest.
- A rebid waits: grouped rebids intentionally avoid spending on every update.
- The result is reconciling: wait for confirmation rather than forcing another bid.
- Protected-player controls are unavailable: complete a universe scan first.
