Defender Celestial Configurations
The Celestial Configs subtab decides which planets and moons Defender may protect and where their fleets can move. Complete this configuration in observation mode before enabling live evacuation.
Overview
Every detected celestial appears as a separate card with its type, name, and coordinates. The Protect this celestial checkbox controls whether Defender can create an actionable plan for it. Unchecked celestials can still appear in account discovery but are not configured for live protection.
Each protected celestial needs a sensible destination strategy. Defender provides a preferred destination and a fallback destination. The fallback matters when the preferred choice is unavailable or unsuitable at the moment action is due.
Never assume that one destination fits the whole account. Planets and moons have different ships, fuel, travel routes, and exposure. Review them individually.
Keep the feature in the observation mode described in the main Defender guide while validating these routes.
Discovering Planets and Moons
If the subtab reports no planets or moons, start the bot once on the intended OGameX universe and allow account discovery to run. Return after the extension has observed the account’s celestials.
After creating a colony, moon, or account change, check the list again. A stored configuration may remain for a celestial that is no longer detected, while a new location may need an explicit decision.
Use the displayed name and coordinates rather than relying on list position. Coordinates are the most reliable way to distinguish similarly named locations.
Protecting a Celestial
Enable Protect this celestial only after selecting at least one valid destination. The interface displays an error when protection is active without a destination.
Before enabling protection, verify:
- the source is the intended planet or moon;
- it normally contains ships or resources worth moving;
- at least one fleet slot can be available near the evacuation time;
- the source has enough deuterium for the planned route;
- the destination is not the same celestial;
- the route is appropriate for attack and moon-destruction scenarios.
Observation mode can create a plan without executing it, which makes it the safest way to see whether a protected source is matched correctly.
Preferred Destination
The preferred destination is Defender’s first route choice. Select a detected planet or moon that is suitable for receiving the evacuation flight.
Consider distance, flight time, fuel, cargo, and what happens after the impact. A very distant target may make recall or return timing impractical. A nearby location may be easier to verify but may not fit every threat. The guide cannot choose a universally correct target because account layouts differ.
After choosing it, use observation results to confirm that Plans shows the expected coordinates. Do not switch to live mode if the displayed destination is surprising.
Fallback Destination
The fallback destination is used when the preferred route cannot be selected. It should be independently valid, not merely a duplicate label.
Choose a fallback with enough practical separation from the preferred choice to remain useful when conditions change. Verify that it is detected and not the source celestial. If the account has limited destinations, it may be better to leave live protection off until a safe route can be planned.
Whenever a destination disappears from account discovery, replace it before restarting live Defender.
Planets, Moons, and Threat Types
Defender can protect both planets and moons. Moon-destruction missions deserve extra care because a moon source and destination strategy can differ from a normal planet attack.
Review Defender Plans to confirm the target type, mission types, first impact, and scheduled evacuation. A plan that resolves by coordinates should still match the intended celestial before live action is trusted.
Pause Fleet Save has its own per-celestial configuration. Defender destinations do not automatically become pause missions, and pause settings do not automatically configure Defender. Review both when a celestial needs protection during active and offline periods.
Recommended Setup
- Keep Defender in observation mode.
- Allow all planets and moons to be discovered.
- Pick one source celestial to configure first.
- Select a preferred destination and verify its coordinates.
- Select a different practical fallback.
- Enable protection for that source.
- Use Run now and inspect any resulting plan.
- Repeat for other celestials one at a time.
- Export a configuration backup after the list is verified.
Troubleshooting
- No celestials are listed: run the bot on the correct universe and allow discovery to finish.
- Protection shows a destination error: choose a valid preferred or fallback destination before enabling the card.
- A saved target is missing: select an available replacement and review the resulting route.
- The plan points to unexpected coordinates: return to observation mode and correct the source card before live action.
- A moon is not protected: make sure the moon has its own enabled card; protecting its matching planet is not the same setting.

Do I need to enable every detected celestial?
No. Protect only the locations you have deliberately configured and can verify.
What is the difference between preferred and fallback destinations?
Preferred is the first route choice. Fallback provides another valid destination when the preferred choice cannot be used.
Can the destination be the same as the source?
No. Choose another detected planet or moon that can receive the fleet movement.
Does configuring Defender also configure Pause Fleet Save?
No. They use separate per-celestial plans and must both be reviewed.
When should I enable live mode?
Only after observation plans consistently match the correct sources, mission types, impact times, and destinations.
