Ikariam Trading Post Guide

The Trade feature works with the selected city’s Trading Post. It refreshes marketplace offers and queues one buy, sale, or owned-offer operation at a time.

This guide reflects the current Marketplace interface. Recurring transfers between your own cities belong to Resources, not Trade.

Search Marketplace Offers

Select a city and resource, then refresh the offers. The selected city must contain a Trading Post. Results are cached with their observation time so you can review the offer before adding an operation.

Marketplace availability and prices can change after a refresh. Treat the displayed result as a snapshot and verify important orders before queuing them.

Buy an Existing Offer

Choose a displayed sell offer and enter the amount to buy. The queued operation retains the selected city, offer, resource, and amount.

Before submitting, confirm available gold, offer quantity, Trading Post range, transport capacity, and the current market state.

Sell to an Existing Offer

Choose a displayed buy offer and enter the amount you want to sell. Confirm that the city has enough unreserved stock and that the selected offer still matches the intended price and buyer.

Create Your Own Offer

Select a city, resource, amount, and price to queue an owned offer. The task processes pending operations one at a time.

An accepted operation is removed from the queue. A rejected or invalid operation is marked Blocked with its error so it is not silently retried. Correct the cause and use Retry, or remove the entry.

Next Check and Troubleshooting

When no operation is pending, the feature periodically refreshes offers for the selected search city. The Next check notice shows when another marketplace action or refresh is eligible.

If Trade does not progress, check:

1. the Trade master toggle;
2. the selected city and its Trading Post;
3. the current resource search;
4. gold, resources, and transporters;
5. whether the queue item is Pending or Blocked; and
6. the saved error and task log.

FAQ

Does Trade create recurring routes between my cities?

No. The current Trade feature handles Trading Post searches and marketplace operations. Use Resources Automatic Rules for recurring transfers between owned cities.

Why is an operation marked Blocked?

The server or current city state rejected it. Review the displayed error, refresh the market, correct the order, and retry only when its offer and values are still valid.

How often are offers refreshed?

Successful idle searches are refreshed on a short marketplace schedule. Errors use a retry delay, and pending queued operations take priority over refreshing the offer list.
